RISC Main Site: Castle of Hagenberg in the Softwarepark Hagenberg
RISC is located in Hagenberg im Mühlkreis, a village about 20 km from Linz, the capital of Upper Austria. Upper Austria is a province in the northern part of Austria, a country in the heart of Central Europe.
RISC at the JKU Campus
In particular for meeting with students, RISC is also present at the JKU campus in Linz. The RISC rooms are located in Science Park 2, third floor, next to all other mathematics institutes of JKU Linz.
To RISC by Plane
Linz Airport (LNZ) has regular connections from Frankfurt and London. There are a bus shuttle and a local train between the airport and Linz railway station ("Linz Hauptbahnhof"). From Linz railway station there are a bus and a train to Hagenberg, see below. Other airports not too far are Vienna (VIE), Salzburg (SZG), or Munich (MUC). All of these cities have fast train connections to Linz.

To RISC by Train and Bus
Linz has fast train connections to Vienna, Salzburg, Munich, or Innsbruck. From the Linz railway station ("Linz Hauptbahnhof"), there is a direct bus line 311 to Hagenberg (bus station "Hagenberg im Mühlkreis Ortsmitte") via the university campus (bus station "JKU | Universität"); this is usually the fastest connection. Alternatively, there is also a slow train to Pregarten, a neighbor town 2 km from Hagenberg (from Pregarten to Hagenberg you can take a bus, or have a 20-minute walk, or ask somebody from RISC to pick you up by car).

To RISC by Car
Linz is almost half-way between Vienna (~190km) and Salzburg (~130km) on the highway A1. Highway A7 connects Linz to Freistadt and further to Prague. Approximately 20km north of Linz highway A7 turns into expressway S10, the first exit "Unterweitersdorf" brings you to Hagenberg. Follow the directions to "Softwarepark Hagenberg" or "Hagenberg".
Coming from the east, e.g. Vienna, you may exit A1 already in "St. Valentin", then cross the Danube in "Mauthausen" and follow the provincial roal B123 direction "Wartberg" or "Pregarten".
